Laura had to go and pick her boyfriend up from the airport this morning so although our train wasn’t until 2pm we got to the station at 10 and spent the morning in a cafe, drinking hot chocolates and playing cards. Then at 2 we caught first train of the day, a two hour journey to Lyon. At Lyon station we had to wait for 90 mins so grabbed a late lunch and some extra food for the next train journey. While we were sitting there the police came to the seats next to us because some baggage had been left unattended. At 5.30 we caught the train to Rouen. This was a 4 hour journey and we whiled away the time reading, listening to Jonathan Ross pod-cast and playing cards. Next to us in the carriage there was a cute little dog sitting in a bag who entertained us for a bit. We watched the sun set as we travelled and finally got to Rouen at 9.30pm, where we all went our separate ways, and I struggled up the 63 stairs with my heavy bag and guitar. Spent the rest of the evening unpacking while watching Footloose.
